Purifying Your Air
December 9th, 2008 -- Posted in Allergens | No Comments »Having asthma and other respiratory ailments is quite hard to deal with for you have to be very cautious in every thing that you do. Even the air you breathe must be free from different allergens. Today, different modern furniture have built in air purifier and air monitors that cleans and updates you about the allergen contents of the air you breath at home.
But how do air purifiers work? An air purifier works according to how it purifies air. Some uses electronic filtering, air adsorption or mechanical filtering. Air purifiers with mechanical filter clean the air by using HEPA filters, which are able to absorb air born pollutants and allergens via a ventilation system. Air adsorption on the hand uses special types of chemicals that adsorbs foul odors but is not that effective on removing pollutant and allergens. Electrostatic air purifiers on the other hand, electrically charged needles that emits ions and attracts pollutants and allergens.
