My nephew Michael is turning seven this coming December and his special request is to have a pirate themed birthday party. Michael is a huge fan of Captain Jack Sparrow from the movie Pirates of the Caribbean. This is why he wants to have a pirate themed birthday party and to wear a pirate costume for his birthday.
We are going to start distributing Pirate Invitations to our friends by next week. We hope that his birthday will turn out well as we spent a good amount of time and money preparing for it.

In learning photography, they say that you have to learn first the rules before you learn to break them. One of the rules, is the rule of thirds. Imagine your picture as cut in thirds vertically and horizontally. You must position your subject or your main focus on the points where these lines meet and not necessarily the center of the image. The rule of thirds also appply when capturing landscapes. You should make sure that either the sky, horizon or your horizontal line is either at the top one third line or bottom.
Applying this rule is not as easy as it seems. You need to have constant practice to make a good composition. So get your Canon camera now and start shooting!

Christmas holiday is fast approaching and now is the perfect time to buy gifts and cards for your loved ones. It’s the time to share our blessings with our friends and special someone. However, even if we want to buy expensive gifts for them, we may not have enough money to spend. If we want to make this holiday special, we do not need these expensive gifts. We can just give them photo holiday cards which can be personalized by putting pictures of you and your loved ones. This can be bought online or you can also do it yourself. They would appreciate this more since they know that it comes from the heart.

A lot of children plan their Halloween costume weeks even months before the event comes around. While all the creativity is left to the imaginative minds of the little boys and girls, the parents are left to ponder on the less thrilling but more practical and indispensable issues such as the health concerns of these Halloween costumes. Here are a several things that must not be overlooked:
Make-up. Halloween is one of the few occasions where the boys would probably require make-up for their costumes just as much as the women’s costumes and the girls’ costumes. Since applying moderate amounts would most likely go against the whole ‘Halloween feel’ just make sure to use hypo-allergenic make-up or water-based face paint so as not to irritate the skin.
It is also important to check the material or fabric of the discount costumes before purchasing them to make sure the materials would be comfortable to wear, free from choking hazards and would not hurt the skin. Make sure that the costume gives enough protection to the body, catching a cold from trick or treating is a real horror.
Secure properly any portion of the costume that may stick out. Special attention should be placed on these parts since accidents may occur from tripping on them or from the flammable parts catching fire.
