You are What You Wear

November 2nd, 2010 -- Posted in Personal Experiences | Comments Off

There might be a saying that goes like this, “Don’t Judge A Book By its Cover”. This might be true in some occasions, but I say, “You are what you wear”. Whether its urban clothing, hip hop clothing, hippie or business like, what you wear reflects your personality and what you are as a person.

If you are the neat and shy type, you would most likely wear clothes that are also neat and conservative. If you are the rebellious kind, you would go for styles that are out of this world. If you want to project a businesslike personality, you wouldn’t go around wearing only jeans and t-shirts in a meeting. What you wear defines who you are. And no matter how people say that you should not judge others by their appearance, you will surely be judged.

Niece Wants Height

April 27th, 2010 -- Posted in Personal Experiences | Comments Off

My niece is super obsessed with her height. She dreams of becoming a beauty queen someday and she wanted to be tall as she can possibly be. She is just twelve years of age and she’s already researching websites like the http://www.humangrowthhormone.org and online sites that sells pills that can increase height. Since we think she’s still too young to take medicines like this, we just encourage her to eat healthy and try to drink lots of vitamins before she can resort to taking these pills.

Trendy Brother

April 26th, 2010 -- Posted in Personal Experiences | Comments Off

My brother has always been a sucker for designer labels. He would always shop at designer boutiques and he sometimes gets me to go along with him. I couldn’t blame him, since even though designer labels could be a little pricey they are comfortable to wear and are also trendy and are of good quality. He is now currently obsessing about Cole Haan casual wear and bags. He actually bought a bag just yesterday. Good thing it comes with a free pouch which he naturally gave to me.

Sick Time means TV time

February 3rd, 2010 -- Posted in Flu, Personal Experiences | Comments Off

I have been sick for more than a week now. I had the flu and although I’m feeling much better, I was asked by my doctor to stay at home for a while. I’m a little weak from the illness and my boss was kind enough to excuse me from work. I had nothing to do with my spare time but to watch dvd’s and cable channels. Good thing that my sister had just bought a Samsung HDTV for our mini home theater.  You wouldn’t be able to notice the difference from the regular TV if you only use regular cables and stuff. However, since my sister was a geek, she also bought HDMI cables and blu ray disks, which made the viewing experience much much better.

Dyspepsia

September 2nd, 2008 -- Posted in Personal Experiences | Comments Off

A week a go I went to my friend’s house to help her out in choosing some garden decor for her front yard. Both us are really excited when suddenly I felt a sticking pain in my stomach. I really can’t stand the pain so we went home and postponed the activity that both of us planned to do. The next day I went to the doctor to have a check-up. The doctor said that it was just indigestion.

Indigestion or dyspepsia happens when too much acid is formed in the stomach. The presence of too much acid in my stomach explains the pain and discomfort that I felt in my stomach area. The doctor added that I must avoid oily foods, carbonated drinks and caffeine for me not to have that kind of stomach pain again.
