Injuries in playing golf
Playing golf is not only putting your golf balls in tees hitting them right and shooting them in holes. It is not either finishing your favorite 18-hole course with rainbow-colored scores. Playing golf is also about proper technique and safety. World wide almost 450,000 people every year are treated because of golf related injuries. This happens because misuse of equipments, improper techniques and most of all overuse of joints and muscles.
The most common complaint golfers experience after playing golf is back pains. Every time you hunch over to swing a golf club, it is your back that gives the greatest effort and not your hands or hips. It is at your back where you get the power and momentum for you to be able to swing the club. Another is tendonitis. It is when the tendons of your elbow, wrist and shoulders are inflamed. This happens when you stress too much on a swing.
